Metro Art Presents the Los Angeles debut of The Poet Is In, an interactive poetry exchange at Union Station inspired by a program originally conceived by Marie Howe in New York. The Poet Is In features Los Angeles based poets who will collaborate with station visitors to create personalized poems.
Participating poets include William Archila, Lory Bedikian, Xochitl-Julisa Bermejo, Elena Karina Byrne, Kim Dower, Harmony Holiday, Kenji Liu, Douglas Manuel, Callie Siskel, Lynne Thompson, and Vickie Vértiz.
The Poet Is In was conceived by Marie Howe, New York State Poet 2012-2015, MTA Arts & Design's de facto Poet in Residence.
