R. A. Villanueva
is the author of Reliquaria, winner of the Prairie Schooner Book Prize (University of Nebraska Press, 2014). New writing appears in Poetry, the American Poetry Review, Guernica, and elsewhere. His honors include commendations from the Forward Prizes, the Ninth Letter Literary Award, and fellowships from Kundiman, the Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, and The Asian American Literary Review. A founding editor of Tongue: A Journal of Writing & Art, he lives in Brooklyn.

Jan-Henry Gray
is the author of Documents, chosen by D.A. Powell as the winner of BOA Editions' A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize. His chapbook, Selected Emails, is out from speCt! Books and his poems are published widely, including in Nepantla: An Anthology for Queer Poets of Color. Born in the Philippines and raised in California, Jan has lived undocumented in the U.S. for more than 32 years. He is a Kundiman Fellow and lives in Brooklyn.

Kundiman creates an affirming and rigorous space where Asian American writers can explore, through art, the unique challenges that face the new and ever changing diaspora.

Directions:
Our Lady Star of the Sea is located on the southern end of Colonels Row on Governors Island (map here). Ferries leave from Manhattan (10 South Street) or Brooklyn (Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park) and we would recommend the 2:30pm ferry departure time.
